direct participation in direct democracy

the problem of underdeveloped democracies

– their political systems and social culture, a heritage to overcome

The problem (a grave 'democratic deficit'↗︎) of underdeveloped democracies lies in their hierarchical political systems and social culture, which:
•  exclude people or groups
•  promoting
•  divisions and stratifications in society
•  and thus
•  conflicts, protests, anger
•  and/or
•  frustration, powerlessness, resignation

Two MAIN CONFLICT LINES of exclusions, divisions and stratifications in hierarchical societies:

in monarchies, authoritarian, totalitarian societies, dictatorships:
•  between those in power ('on the top' of hierarchy) and those excluded from it ('at the bottom' of hierarchy)

in post-monarchies, post-authoritarian, post-totalitarian societies, post-dictatorships and underdeveloped / not yet developed democracies:
•  between representatives in power and citizens excluded from it
•  between representatives in power and those excluded from it (like in 'coali-/opposition' systems, 'leader' systems, 'winner/looser' systems)

A grave problem, a destructive heritage to overcome (the way out →)
